Love, Don’t Fix – Redefining Failure in Foster Care: Chelsea Geyer

On August 20th, 2014, some of the leading thinkers in foster care gathered in Oklahoma City to share ideas and experiences that are making a difference throughout the country. The presentations and discussions from this important symposium were captured on video to be utilized as resources designed to equip a team of passionate people in any church to be wise and thoughtful foster care advocates.

Chelsea Geyer serves as the Director of DC127, an initiative of churches in Washington, DC dedicated to reversing the foster care wait list. Her past experience includes working with a center for orphaned and vulnerable children in Mbabane, Swaziland, and launching the LRA Crisis Tracker with The Resolve LRA Crisis Initiative. Foster care and adoption were part of her life at an early age when her parents began fostering and three siblings joined her family permanently. Chelsea is originally from Aurora, Colorado and always enjoys a good hike.
